Colourful Trainers for Spring
One of the best ways I know to add colour to an outfit, is by wearing a colourful pair of trainers.
Luckily, they have been in fashion for a while now, so they are really easy to get hold of (though popular styles do sell out really quickly) and you can get almost every colour you can think of.
Perfect for those of use who love to add a pop of colour to our wardrobe.
Lighter Jackets for (unpredictable) Spring days
Ah, April! The month that showers us with (hopefully) sunshine and awakens the world from its winter slumber. The weather is always so changeable at this time of year and it's difficult to know what to put on in the morning. You can pretty much guarantee there will be some element of rain, sunshine, wind, and cloud all in one day!
With that in mind, it is getting warmer and it's the perfect time to ditch those bulky puffer jackets and embrace the lighter layers of spring, which make it easy to change what you're wearing and layer up.
Beyond the LBD: Why a Little Black Dress Isn't One-Size-Fits-All
One of the biggest myths in fashion is the fact that black is universally flattering and that throwing on a little black dress (LBD) for a special occasion is the best way to look your best.
Now, I have some theories about the popularity of the LBD. Some of them stem from the misconception of black being "flattering," particularly when used to describe how a dress makes someone look smaller, or how it "smoothes" and "hides" any shape.
A Journey from Hollywood to Your Wardrobe
You all know, how much I LOVE colour analysis and how in my Joyfully Dressed membership (find out the details here) we work together to identify your colour season and learn how to easily add more colour into your wardrobe.
As with anything I'm interested in, I thought I'd do some digging around the history of colour analysis and where it came fro.
This is the first in a new series of blogposts about its fascinating journey, and some of the surprising places it emerged from to influence fashion and our wardrobes.
